The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many services to turn online including psychotherapy. Different from tele-psychotherapy, where talking is the main agenda, play therapy utilizes the use of physical toys and places great importance on the interaction of the client with the physical environment. Thus, when therapists and clients meet virtually instead of meeting face to face for play therapy, a great deal is compromised. Scholars have found a link between relational abuse and certain attachment styles people develop from childhood. According to a 2019 study in Jakarta, out of all the risk factors to dating abuse in late teen females, Insecure attachment makes up 11.8% (Andayu et al., 2019)
